Early apples prices plunge in Russia

Early apples costs have started to decline within Russian fruits market this week. Based on the latest data, early apples prices have recently plunged down by approximately 25% in the Southern part of Russia. At the current moment, this kind of fruits are available at 0,49 – 0,76 USD/kg, while one week before bottom line for  early apples prices comprised 0,66 USD/kg minimum. Apples costs reduction could be attributed to considerable increase of apples supply within local market of Russia. It stands to mention that sales paces are not that high either, which affects apples pricing as well. Despite costs decrease, this season apples costs are still 40% higher comparing to the previous year numbers.
