Mercabarna to build the first organic wholesale market in Spain

In order to meet the growing consumer demand for organic products, by increasing the marketing and wide distribution of this type of product, Mercabarna will build Biomarket. The 1st wholesale market for organic food in Spain.

 

 

 

The laying of the first stone of Biomarket will take place on December 11, in the presence of the mayor of Barcelona, Ada Colau, the president of Mercabarna, Agustí Colom, and the general manager of Mercabarna, Josep Tejedo.

 

 

 

During this ceremony, the speakers will detail various elements: the objective of the Biomarket; type of construction and project design (m2, outlets, etc.); the number and type of businesses; the estimate of the market share; the volume of sales and the type of products sold; investment; product traceability guarantees; organic market figures in Spain and Catalonia.
