Increase of 9% for Egyptian exports to the EU and 20% increase for the German market alone (Photo: ecrg.de).
At the next Anuga show, the number of Egyptian companies present will total 96, including 84 food manufacturing companies and 12 agricultural enterprises.
This important Egyptian representation at the show was organized by Export Development Authority and Egyptian Commercial Service Office. With the aim of further increasing the market share of Egyptian exports in the German market.
Egyptian exports to the EU totaled 361 million USD, a growth rate of 9% in 2018 compared to 2017. Germany imported in 2018 for 70 million USD of Egyptian products is + 20% compared to 2017 These imports into Germany accounted for 19% of total exports to the European Union countries.
The Anuga trade show takes place every 2 years in Cologne (Germany), and is considered the world's most important trade fair for food products. The 2019 edition will take place from 5 to 9 October 2019. In 2017, the show gathered 7,405 exhibitors and welcomed 165,000 visitors.
