Compagnie Fruitière signed a partnership with IRSTEA

Compagnie Fruitière, the leading fruit production in Africa, ongoing research to improve its practices, has signed a collaboration agreement with IRSTEA (National Institute for Science Research and Technology for the environment and agriculture).
The goal of this partnership is to strengthen the program of Research & Innovation of the Companie Fruitière; 3 major areas of work were identified:
- Improving the effectiveness of phytosanitary treatments reducing the amount of active ingredient: spray technologies ...
- Precision farming, which includes information systems capture measurements and image analysis, optimization tools, associated software, ...
- Reducing the level of exposure to pesticides in the plantations.
A collaborative platform will be set up with technical and production teams dedicated to both the Compagnie Fruitière and IRSTEA. Joint research may lead to exploitable patents or by both parties or by one party only if it sees an interest.Through this partnership, the Compagnie Fruitière shows once again its commitment to sustainable development of its activities while strengthening its competitiveness.
