16% year-on-year increase in Peruvian paprika exports

From January 1 to November 20, 2022, Peru exported 38,638,639 kilos of paprika (whole or powdered), which reflects a year-on-year increase of 16% in volume, according to the consulting firm Inform@cción. The value of these supplies totaled $119,446,906.

 

It should be noted that in all of 2021, supplies of Peruvian paprika abroad totaled 39,367,819 kilos for $115,941,983, while in 2020 38,339,401 kilos were sent for $96,566,531.

 

Paprika shipments this year went to Latin America (18,572,195 kilos for $59,433,769), North America (13,928,351 kilos for $45,334,789), Europe (5,987,448 kilos for $14,443,389), Asia (42,935 kilos for $212,468) and Oceania (7,708 kilos for $22,493).

 

The source expects that by the end of 2022 the record in volume of exports of Peruvian paprika will be achieved. The last record was recorded in 2012 when around 47,000,000 kilos were exported.
