Interko will participate in World Food Moscow 2021 next week
Interko, one of the leading manufacturers of fruit ripening rooms, is thrilled to participate in World Food Moscow 2021 next week to meet again with exhibitors and visitors.
As an exhibitor, Interko is looking forward to demonstrate to existing and prospective customers the benefits of its new ripening technology advances for operators in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS or Russian Commonwealth).
Chris Maat, Managing Director/Partner at Interko, expressed his excitement to meet customers face-to-face again, and to showcase their latest developments at international trade fairs.
Maat stated that Interko is committed to innovation, and their latest advances will add even more value to their technology for current and potential customers in Russia and the CIS where the demand for reliable ripening technology is on the rise.
World Food Moscow 2021 will be held on September 21-24 at the Crocus Expo in Moscow, Russia. Interko will exhibit in Pavilion 3, Hall 14, Stand C8035. The manufacturer invites all operators who wish to learn more about Interko and its technology to schedule an appointment via info@interko.com.
50 years ago, Interko was the first one from the industry to develop the ripening room, and until today it continues to provide the most advanced ripening technology.
Interko’s newest design improvements will enable CIS and Russian importers, retailers, distributors, wholesalers and food processors to add even more value to their exotic and tropical fruit supply due to energy savings, cost reductions, and a clear understanding of the ripening process.
Interko achieved recognition for its banana ripening rooms, and the company is the longest-serving provider in the world. Moreover, Interko can offer Russian and CIS companies various types of rooms that suit small and large operators looking to ripen to perfection avocados, kiwifruits, and mangoes.
Each of Interko’s 3 main ripening rooms – Ultimo, Optimo and Axesso come fitted as standard with Interko’s reversible REVERSO fans, which significantly reduce energy usage, thus considerably saving costs on electricity.
Maat explained that when the ripening room is equipped with inefficient fans, the room is being heated and cooled at the same time which dehydrates the fruit more, and influences fruit quality. Interko’s REVERSO fans run at 100 watts per pallet at full airflow. Besides, by using a control system, the energy consumption can be reduced by 30%, which brings the energy usage down to 70 watts/pallet. According to Maat, in some cases, their customers have reduced their energy usage by 50%, which is as low as 50 watts/pallet. With an Interko REVERSO fan the energy usage can be cut by more than half, which is impossible with an old-fashioned fan which cannot be speed controlled.
With modern ripening rooms, Russian and CIS operators will also better understand the ripening process, and how to manage the fruit that they are ripening.
Maat highlighted that with older ripening systems, the operator lacks appropriate temperature or ethylene control, which questions efficiency of the ripening process. With a modern ripening room the operator can be sure that the equipment performs as expected.
Interko designs its ripening rooms according to the customer’s needs, considering its unique size, location, set-up, and the type of fruits to be ripened.
According to Anna Zegveld, Interko’s Senior Business Development Manager, prior to acquiring a ripening room, it’s important to know who will be working with the equipment, how the machinery will be utilized within certain conditions, and what targets the operating personnel have.
Bringing the end user into the conversation will enable it to tailor ripening systems to its unique set-up and guarantee that the client obtains the best product. Achieving the ideal set-up and reaping all of the operational advantages right from the start makes more sense rather than having to reinvest later down the line.
By working with Interko, CIS and Russian companies benefit from the support of local installation partners, and Interko’s multi-lingual engineering and commercial team. Anna Zegveld, Senior Business Development Manager, speaks Russian.
Further assistance and guidance is available in real-time via the updated Interko website, which is also available in Russian. There, customers can enter the new Interko Online Customer Portal and a Live Chat.
Customer satisfaction is key for Interko, so they support customers in their native language, and a dedicated after-sales department is manages the customer service quickly and effectively.
Interko’s ripening equipment is manufactured in the Netherlands.
