Integrated production of strawberries in Andalucia province increased 14%

Integrated production of strawberries in Andalucia province increased 14% this season comparing to season 2007/08.

 

During last 5 years this type of production in this province increased 25%.

 

Currently 600 farmers cultivate strawberries in this manner on acreage of 4.000 hectares.

 

Integrated production means the method of cultivation with more reasonable choice of varieties of given fruit or vegetable taking into account quality of product and future changes in soil and conditions of farming.
