Turkish Vegetables refused at St Petersburg

The advanced reasons by the Russian Federal Service for Protection and Phytosanitary Quarantine (Rosselhoznadzor) were that there was a problem regarding the certification of cargo from Turkey. The certificate was established after the goods have been sent, which is contrary to international export standards. Russian importing company is currently being under investigation while the cargo was destroyed.

On the other hand, 42 tons of tomatoes from Turkey by Caucasus port on the Black Sea were returned to the exporter after Russian phytosanitary authorities there have found a Californian thrips.
