Trade sanctions against Iran means Pakistan is losing a market of 30,000 tons of mangoes.
Pakistani exporters have lost a lucrative market for mangoes.
The trade embargo on Iran, imposed by the United Nations is a blow to Pakistan as it exports 30,000 tons of mangoes to neighboring Iran. The loss of this market is estimated at
approximately $10 million by the exporters' association.
The exporters' association has asked the authorities for solutions. The Kinnow is in the same situation. Only 6,000 tons were exported against an average of 60,000 tons in previous years.
