Georgian nut exports fall again in terms of value

Georgia's nuts exports underperform again in 2023, with a negative variation in value compared to 2022
Local media report that according to data from GCCPA, the Georgian Competition and Consumer Protection Agency, which monitors the nuts market, the country's exports in 2023 reached an estimated value of GEL 218.2 million (USD 82.3 million).
This result shows a variation of -21.01% compared to the GEL 276.8 million corresponding to exports in 2022, and a variation of -40.27% compared to the GEL 365.6 million corresponding to exports in 2021.
In 2023, European markets remained the main destinations for Georgian exports, with Italy (32% of total exports) and Germany (20%) in particular.
