Spanish professionals meet to discuss the sustainability of potato cultivation

The main themes of the event will be an analysis of the sustainability of potato cultivation in the face of new regulations and market demands.

 

Organized by Asociafruit and FEPEX, the 6th Congress of the New Potato of Spain (VI Congreso de la Patata Nueva de España) takes place on April 25 in Seville.

 

The main conferences will cover topics such as Trends in potato cultivation and consumption in Spain and Europe, Agricultural insurance -modules, coverage and key figures, Challenges facing the sector in the face of the regulatory framework.

 

There will also be round-table discussions on the place of potatoes on supermarket shelves, and on the future of the crop in the absence of alternatives to combat pests and diseases. 

 

 

The congress will also offer a preview of innovations at the forthcoming Fruit Attraction (October 03-05), and present products related to potato cultivation and processing.
