Indonesian professionals believe that fruit exports will continue to grow.
In Indonesia, ASEIBSSINDO (Indonesian Fruit and Vegetable Exporters and Importers Association) announced a 125% increase in F & V exports last year and said the potential for progress is still significant.
The association says it has recorded a 125% increase in its F & V exports last year. Indonesian professionals have exported large volumes of tropical fruits, such as mango, pineapple, mangosteen and sweet potato.
The potential is important for fruit exports highlighted the association, for lime, variety Kaffir, whose demand is growing. As well as for some tropical fruits, such as jackfruit, which is growing in demand in Europe and the United States, where vegans consume it instead of meat.
Moreover, the agreements with the European Union have entered their final phase and should end this year. This means that exports to the EU will continue to grow.
