New campaign for bananas from Guadeloupe and Martinique
MD
The new campaign is a humorous reminder that bananas from Guadeloupe and Martinique are part of French products.
L'UGPBAN, which brings together producers of bananas from Guadeloupe and Martinique has launched its new advertising campaign "the good taste of our regions." It theme is based on the humour found in the West Indies and that bananas are a regional product such as camembert or Bordeaux wines. The campaign launched earlier this month, will include posters and ads in the trade press and general public.
UGPBAN controls 100% of the direct marketing of the production of the two islands, which include 769 farms. Banana production is part of sustainable development of Guadeloupe and Martinique. The entire production is sold within the European Union.
The ports of delivery in Europe are Dunkirk Montoir, Algeciras, Fos-sur-mer/Marseille. Distribution of sales: 75% France, 25% in intra-Community shipping (United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Italy, Germany). 5.3 million tons of bananas are consumed in the European Union, of which about 265,000 are from Guadeloupe and Martinique.
