"Capital Vegetables" to grow in Kuban

LLC Managing company "Capital Vegetables" (Moscow) will invest RUR 5 billion (US$0.2 billion) to the construction of the greenhouse complex in Anapa, "Delovaya Gazeta. Yug" informs.
There is a plan to start construction in March 2008. Managing company "Capital Vegetables" created LLC "Greenhouse complex "Anapa"" for the implementation of this project.
The complex will be located in the area of Vityazevo settlement. The company rents the territory of 64 ha. Flowers (roses and flowers in pots) and vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, capsicum, eggplants, and fresh herbs) will be grown on the acreage of 32 ha each. Twenty thousands tons of vegetables and 80 mln. of flowers are planned to be annually grown in the greenhouses.
"The company's turnover will amount to RUR 2.5 billion (US$101 mln.) per year; flower production will generate RUR 1.4 billion (US$56 mln.)", Petr Yakimidi, General Director of LLC "Greenhouse complex "Anapa"" tells. The investments to the construction will pay back in 5 years, he supposes.
Dutch company will be in charge of the project development, equipment supplies and mounting. The specialists of the greenhouse have not mentioned the name of the company yet. The plants will be grown by hydroponics technology (without soil, in growing medium).
There is a plan to harvest the first shipment of the products in the first quarter 2009. The whole complex will be launched by the end of 2009. Around 500 persons will manage the greenhouses. Flowers and vegetables of "Anapa" greenhouse complex are planned for sale on the territory of Krasnodarskiy kray and in the other regions of Russia. "We hope to become flower suppliers to Olympic Games in Sochi", Petr Yakimidi stated.
