Increase of the organic bananas' exports

Peru sees its exports of organic bananas increasing thanks to the growing demand of the European Union.
The Peruvian exports of organic bananas towards the European Union continue to increase.
Between January and August 2010, exports of organic bananas reached 19,9 million dollars, that is a 3 % increase compared to 2009, indicated the Chamber of Commerce of Lima (CCL).
In the European Union, results by country are varied: if the Netherlands reduced their purchases by 12 %, 87 % for United Kingdom, other countries sharply increased as Belgium 115 %, Germany 82 %, Ireland 11 %.
