La Rioja region of Spain champion for the consumption of F & V

A recent report by " EAE Business School " has studied the food consumption of Spanish consumers.
Per capita consumption stood at 392 euros for Fruit & Vegetables in 2013. Or 1.3% the previous year and -0.73 % compared to 2008.
The most extravagant Spanish consumers for Fruit & Vegetables are in regions La Rioja ( 593 euros) Castilla Leon ( 539 euros) and Navarra ( 484 euros) . The lower expenses are incurred in Madrid ( 283 euros) , Andalusia ( 333 euros) and Murcia ( 345 euros) .
According to the report , Spain is the 5th largest Fruits & Vegetables consumer market with a total of € 18,223,000 spent in 2013. Either + 1.63 % over the previous year. This consumption volume reached 11 million tons of Fruits & Vegetables.
