Pomegranate exports from Peru exceed $87 million until May

Between January and May 2023, pomegranate exports from Peru declined both in volume and value, if compared to the same term in 2022. 

Until May of the ongoing year, the country exported 43.020.954 kilos of said fruit worth $87.023.368, according to Agrodata Perú.

In the same term of 2022, Peru shipped 48.756.985 kilos of pomegranates for $92.527.513.

The main destinations through May 2023 were the Netherlands (51% of total value), the United States (16%), the United Kingdom (6%), Canada (5%), and others.
