The Huelva strawberry season has started

The strawberry crop in Huelva, Spain has started on March 1st and production forecasts reach 280 000 tons, that is to say a 14% rise on 2002. As for export, the first destination remains Europe that stands for 65% of the production. The main buying countries are Germany (42%), France (25%) and Great Britain (9%).
