Participation in international fairs is a key element in boosting demand for Brazilian fruit.
Participation in an international trade show is a decisive element for increasing contacts and increasing turnover. Abrafrutas exhibits at Macfrut Hall D5 -Stand 077.
ABRAFRUTAS (Associação Brasileira dos Produtores Exportadores de Frutas e Derivados) revealed that fruit exports increased in the first quarter of 2019. From January to March this year, 218 231 tons of fruit were exported, an increase of 15% compared to last year. Revenues increased 9% to $173.19 million.
ABRAFRUTAS in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Agência Brasileira de Promoção de Exportações e Investimentos) continues to promote the international market. Attendance at shows is crucial to boost Brazilian fruit consumption in target markets.
"The actions have been stepped up in recent months and the goal is to reach $1 billion of exports in 2019" according to Abrafrutas' executive director, Eduardo Brandão. By the end of the year the association also plans various promotional events entitled "Frutas do Brasil Festival" in Switzerland, Italy, England, the Middle East, Hong Kong and Spain.
