As of April 20, 2022, Paraguay and Chile will be able to exchange electronic Phytosanitary Certificates through the IPPC HUB system, reports the Chilean Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG).
Starting today, the SAG and the National Plant and Seed Health and Quality Service (SENAVE) of Paraguay will accept digital documents to carry out the import procedures for those goods subject to review by these two Services. Because of this, it will no longer be necessary to issue printed Phytosanitary Certificates for supplies that are exported to this destinations.
The SAG emphasized that the digital certification agreements do not consider the Re-export Sanitary Certificates, therefore, paper certificates will continue to be required.
