Apple National Month is the only national and generic promotion of apples in the United States. The event was originally established in 1904 as the National Apples Week, and was then extended to the whole of October.
The mission of the National Apples Month is to increase sales to the sector and increase consumer awareness of increased use of apples and apple products. Animations at sales venues, exchange of recipes using apples, contest presentation and display, initiatives are numerous throughout the country.
US APPLE ASSOCIATION represents 7,500 apple growers in the country, nearly 40 associations from various states and regional organizations and hundreds of apple-related businesses. The association has three objectives: to represent the US apple industry on national issues, increase the demand for apples and apple products, and provide relevant information on apple and apple-based industry.
