Turkey to conquer China

There has been a considerable increase in Turkish exports of dried figs to China.
The Association of Turkish Exporters (TIM) has released its data. In 2011, Turkey exported 187 tons of dried figs to the Chinese market. This year the exporters feel they can reach 1000 tons. In 4 years the exports of dried figs to China have jumped from 20 tons to 1,000 tons.
As products, although little known in China, dried figs are successful. China has become the 5th largest market for Turkish dried figs. Turkish exporters are considering introducing dried figs in the markets of Indonesia, Japan, Russia, India.
In recent years China has also significantly increased its demand for nuts and dried apricots from Turkey.
