Increasing Volumes traded in Rungis wholesale market in december

Wholesale market of Rungis, located in the Paris area, France has not suffered during the Christmas season.

Total attendance of visitors on the market has improved by  6.2%.

Out of Paris wholesalers have been more numerous in december, with a +8% increase, caterers also: +12%, foreigners buyers: +10 %

Traded volumes (for all products: fish, meat, fruit ...) in december have been increased by 7.5%. Fruit & veg are leading the way with an increase of volumes of: +10.2 %

The wholesale market of Rungis will celebrate its 40th anniversary in few weeks. There are 1.213 companies and 12.000 workers.
