In 2022, Chilean fresh fruit exports reached 2,615,000 tons, worth $5,085 million, according to the ODEPA's Fresh Fruit Bulletin presented in January 2023. These figures reflect a year-on-year decrease in volume of -0.1%. , and in value of -4.7%.
The main species shipped to the world in the period analyzed in this group was cherry, with 397,000 tons (+18.1% compared to 2021) for $2,130 million (+17.3%), destined mainly for China (90.1%).
Table grapes follow, with 605,994 tons (+15.4%) for $871.6 million (-5.1%), the main buyers being the United States (50% of the total value) and China (12%).
The third place was occupied by apple, with 602,478 tons (-6.4%) for $518.4 million (-15.7%), with shipments to Colombia (14%), the United States (12%), and Brazil. (10%), among others.
The fourth position was occupied by blueberries, with 105,403 tons (-6.6%) for $428.8 million (-26.1%), with shipments mainly to the United States (46%), the Netherlands (20%) and the United Kingdom. (9%).
