Big changes on polish vegetable market
Poland
Monday 05 March 2007
A week ago prices rose - now they're going down . This is the effect of growing supply. Those producers who kept their goods in "ordinary" stores started to sell now !
They probably feared of growing import because carrots and onions of much better quality have been delivered on polish market coming from abroad. Countries producers of onions wanted to make up their losses and until now they hold on sale.
Here some examples of wholesale prices of fruit and vegetable on the polish market in EUR per kg:
apples - industry sorts: 0,01-0,015
apples for peeling: 0,016 -0,019
peeled onions: 0,34 - 0,38
unpeeled onions: 0,20 - 0,23
white cabbages: 0,08
carrots: 0,10 - 0,12
parsley: 0,31
beets: 0,06
