Turkey's 2005 citrus production is expected to be at normal levels following good weather conditions in the major growing areas.
About 30 percent of production is sold to export market and upscale domestic outlets, while the rest is mostly sold through local wholesalers and retailers.
Turkish citrus production is continuing to increase, fuelled increased demand from the growing tourism sector.
In terms of exports, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, and Saudi Arabia are the leading markets for Turkish citrus.
