Indonesia and Chile have signed new agreements to strengthen trade.
New agreements signed during the visit of Mrs. Bachelet, President of Chile, to Indonesia. To strengthen relations between the two countries, especially in the economic field (trade, investment).
With relations established for more than 50 years, the two countries want to strengthen joint programs and exchanges. Especially for trade and investment. Cooperation will focus on several areas and in particular on agriculture and trade in agricultural products.
Several Chilean companies, including the Federation of Fruit Producers, accompanied Mrs Bachelet on this visit. Chile is the 3rd trading partner of Indonesia in South America. In 2016, trade between Chile and Indonesia reached $ 227 million.
