Carrefour extends its Indian's network

Based in India since last year, Carrefour , the No. 2 worldwide in distribution, is planning to expand in the country and to open 10 new stores.
Carrefour opened its first store in December 2010, a cash-and-carry, in the Indian capital. A year after its arrival, the Delhi store is still the only one Carrefour store in the country.
But Carrefour plans to expand and is currently finalizing its choice from 10 to 12 sites to open new outlets. From the beginning of the year, a new store should open in the region of Jaipur and another near Pune.
Wal-Mart, the world No. 1 has already 12 cash-and-carry stores in India and Metro 7. These groups have already planned an expansion of a dozen stores per year.
