The price of treenuts rises for Chinese New Year

Pistachios and other nuts on the tables indispensable for the Chinese New Year, are experiencing a sharp increase.
Tree nuts (walnuts, hazelnuts, pistachios ...) are traditional foods during the Chinese New Year.
These fruits symbolize the reunion which will take place in the new year but also the longevity and wealth to come.
With the approach of Chinese New Year (January 31, 2014 will begin the year of the Wood Horse), the prices of different types of nuts begin to experience strong increases. The newspaper China Times reported that the price of pistachios and other nuts experienced an increase of + 30% which should continue.
