Stanor, the main storage and packaging unit of Blue Whale, aims at 70,000t of annual production.
The largest cooperative group of Blue Whale, Stanor celebrated its 50th anniversary on Friday, November 9, 2012.
Created with seven producers, it now includes 24 members and produces 60,000 tons of fruit. Caired by Christophe Belloc and managed by Philippe Séguy, Stanor is the largest cooperative in France for the storage and packaging of apples.
Stanor recently completed a major investment plan costing more than 6 million euros to adapt its offer to requirements and
increase its performance capabilities and storage.
It added 7 automated channels that enable more precision for sorting and energy savings. Installing a sugar sensor also gives a better understanding of batches. A cold storage platform of 1,000m ² was added, increasing the total cold storage capacity to 40,000T.
Following this investment program, Stanor aims to have an annual production of 70,000 t.
