WUWM gives gold to IMMB of Barcelona

The World Union of Wholesale Markets (WUWM) presented its Gold , Silver and Bronze awards, closing its Annual Conference held in Poznan on September 14.
The gold medal was awarded to the Municipal Institute of Markets of Barcelona (IMMB) for the work done on the Mercat de la Llibertat. This 3-year project was to expand and renovate the exterior and completely remodel the interior. The renovation has resulted in an annual increase of 884,000 customers in the market.
The Silver Medal went to the new wholesale market HiGreen Shenzhen China that provides new
advanced infrastructure. This 3rd generation market covers an area of ??303,000 m2 and serves a population of 14.5 million.
The bronze medal was presented to Brisbane Wholesale Market for its upgrading and expansion of business premises and storage at controlled temperature.
The WUWM also awarded three Certificates of Merit: to Mercacordoba (Spain), to Rungis International Market (France) and the Seoul Agricultural and Marine Products Corporation (SAMACO, South Korea).
