New food labelling standards in Australia

Changes to Australia's country of origin food labelling standards have recently become law. The standard will have a phase in period of 6 months for unpackaged fruit, vegetables and nuts, and two years for packaged goods. The new standards include a specific country of origin label for unpackaged goods, rather than just a notice that they are imported.
