Producer from Uzbekistan contributes to the evolution of the country’s fruit sector by implementing technologies Made in Italy
The Garden is a company specializing in the cultivation and commercialization of fruits and plants, based in Namangan, 300 kilometers to the east of Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The opening up to the internationalization of the country has favored investments and pushed the 3 partners to realize their ambitious project that aims to produce fresh fruits with excellent organoleptic characteristics. These are 100% made in Italy products which comply with the European production protocols.
The combination of the founder's skills in the fruit sector, the know-how made in Italy products by Advice&Consulting, the top-quality plants of the Nischler nursery, and the support of Pop Impex - will all determine the success of the project.
After an in-depth study of the climatic conditions, soil characteristics and the trends of the reference target, there was accurately selected the variety choice.
Apples, apricots, cherries, raspberries: 80 percent of these plants have already initiated their vegetative cycle, the remaining 20% will wake up in the coming days, and the strawberries have been already harvested and sold to local and international markets.
The strawberry plants were planted utilizing the mulching technique which protects and boosts their productivity. Besides, there was installed an efficient fertigation system, which is essential for providing the right amount of water and nutrients. In addition, there were planted both uniform and remontant varieties of raspberries, with harvest expected in August.
The team of Italian Advice&Consulting agronomists is always present on site to train the staff.
According to Raffaele Napoli, the General Director of The Garden, the company is able to achieve high European quality standards, and now they are preparing solid foundations for the evolution of fruit cultivation in Uzbekistan. “The combination of technologies made in Italy and the sun of Uzbekistan will soon allow us to reap delicious fruits, able to satisfy the most demanding palates", concluded Napoli.
