Wal-Mart will invest $ 755 million in Brazil

In 2011, Wal-Mart plans to invest U.S. $ 755 million for its expansion into the largest country in Latin America that offers excellent potential for economic growth.
Wal-Mart will invest 1.2 billion reals (755 million dollars) to build 80 new stores, refurbish existing stores and improve logistics.
In five years, Wal-Mart has already invested $ 6 billion reals (3.8 billion dollars) in the country with openings of store and acquisitions such as Big and Bom Preco. Wal-Mart now has 483 stores under several brands.
In Brazil, Wal-Mart is the third largest retailer behind Companhia Brasileira de Distribuicao (CBD) and Carrefour.
