Season of seedless grapes began in Turkey

According to official information obtained from the Aegean Exporters' Union, the Commission resposible for determining the degree of maturity of fruits decided that the cutting of Sultani variety grapes will be possible starting from July 31, 2013 while export be allowed from August 2, 2013.
For Mevlan variety (Razaki), Cutting is permitted from 5 August and export from 7 August.
These varieties are produced mainly in Manisa and Izmir on the Turkish Aegean coast. The previous year had the problems of hail affected the harvest.
