Exports to Russia increase

Last year, Azerbaijan exported 517 000 tonnes of tomatoes, 106 000 tonnes of which to Russia.
Azerbaijan is an essential partner for the supply of the Russian Fruit & Vegetable Market, even in winter the country exports greenhouse tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and eggplants to Russia.
According to the authorities, Azerbaijan continues to increase exports of fruit and vegetables to Russia. Last year the country exported 106,000 tons of tomatoes to Russia. By way of comparison, Morocco supplied the Russian market with 109 000 tons of tomatoes in 2016.
This year, Azerbaijan is still planning to expand its exports to Russia. With strict control of the standards and rules in force, the transport as the products shipped do not encounter any problem of entry.
