Asparagus and mangoes are the leading Peruvian exports and have increased the most.
Peru's agricultural exports have again recorded a strong increase.
According to the Peruvian Ministry of Agriculture, agricultural exports totaled 915.6 million dollars during the first quarter, an increase of 16.6% over 2011.
For
the first quarter, asparagus rose by 19.1%, mangoes 43.7%, artichokes 14.6%, and 2.7% for grapes.
The department explained that growth in exports is helped by the competitive prices of Peruvian products.
