Argentinian apple and pear exports to Latin America showed an increase in 2020.

According to The National Service for Agri-Food Health and Quality (SENASA), pears and apples have experienced an increase in export volumes by 7 percent and 24 percent, respectively, compared to the previous season. The products were destined to such countries of the region as Bolivia, Ecuador, Paraguay and Brazil.
Apples. 56.325 tons of apples were exported to the Latin American region in 2020, and 45.390 in 2019. The main growth in export volumes of this fruit was recorded in Paraguay (69 percent) and Bolivia (42 percent). In Brazil there was observed a growth of 16 percent.
Pears.
Facundo Fernández, the Secretary of Rio Negro's Fruit Production, specified that the availability of a qualitative product which is close by, simplified logistics, and neighboring countries that have purchasing capacity contributed to this increase, despite the growing demand for healthy products.
