Asda sets up innovative system to classify advocados

Asda introduced a system of three colours to simplify procurement: vert = Green = ripe and ready to eat, orange = almost ripe, between 2-5 days to mature and pink = ripening needed between 5 and 8 days.
Like traffic lights, 3 colours help consumers buy the avocados at the right time.
Because the test of "compression" does not reveal the exact maturity of avocados. Asda has sets up an innovative system for selecting avocados: three colors such as traffic lights.

Asda believes that this system will streamline the purchase of avocados and therefore increase sales. The new colour codes will be tested in 30 stores and expanded if successful.
