CSO awarded 4m Euro for promotion campaigns

Italian fruit marketer CSO is set to begin new promotion campaigns in the US and Russia thanks to a €4m grant from the EU.
In a statement, the group said some Italian fruit growers would take part in the project Apoconerpo, Apofruit, Salvi, Mazzoni, Europfruit, Spreafico, Zani and Oranfrizer.
The promotional campaign, to be titled 'Flavours of Europe,' will begin in January and will focus on the health benefits of Italian fresh produce, its links to the Mediterranean diet and the fight against obesity in western countries. It will focus on peaches, nectarines, kiwifruit, pears, blood oranges and plums.
