Ambitious and unique for the industry, Bonduelle will reduce energy consumption at its plants.
Bonduelle has launched an ambitious project to reduce energy consumption in its plants.
Following a study in 2009 by the Agency for Energy Management (ADEME) and EDF, the proposals will be applied to three sites: fresh, canned, mixed conserve and frozen).
According to the study, the minimum energy required (EMR) to transform the product should provide an energy reduction of 20 to 30%. The objective is to achieve 60% savings in the future.
To achieve this, processes need to be reviewed and the necessary changes could take 3 to 5 years.
