Egypt wins 2 new markets for its potatoes and strawberries

For Egypt, agricultural exports are the 2nd largest source of foreign exchange earnings. The conquest of 2 new markets confirms the strategy of export diversification and continuous improvements to remain competitive on a global scale and meet the demands of demanding consumers.

 

Local media report that the Ministry of Agriculture has indicated that it has received approval from ONSSA, the Moroccan National Office for Food Safety, for shipments of Egyptian potatoes to the Moroccan market. The Ministry also stated that all procedures had been completed to allow Egyptian strawberry exports to the Canadian market.

 

These new markets offer promising opportunities for Egyptian farmers and exporters.
