An exotic fruit festival in Guangzhou Fruit Expo 2019

Guangzhou Fruit Expo 2019 will be held from June 27th to 29th. Exhibitors from around 20 countries will be present including some of the most important suppliers of the Chinese exotic fruit market.

 

 

 

Thailand produces and exports various fresh products including 22 types of fruits that are imported by China. Over the past 3 years, the volume of Thai fruit imported into China has increased sharply, from around 400,000 tonnes in 2016 to around 700,000 tonnes in 2018. These Thai fruits (durian, mangosteen, longan, coconut, longan dried) are appreciated by Chinese consumers and ranked among the top 5 on the list of imported fruits.

 

 

 

For Indonesia, the reopening of the Chinese market in 2018 has opened up huge business opportunities for the mangosteen sector. According to Indonesian statistics, the volume of mangosteen exports increased by 324% in volume and by 778% in value.

 

 

 

Delegations and foreign pavilions will be numerous with participants coming from, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, Chile, Peru, Mexico, Ecuador, Greece, Morocco, among others.
