Citrus season in full swing

According to the Commission determining the degree of maturity of fruits , Lamas lemons and Washington oranges can be harvested from today onwards and start to be exported from November 5th. This is a week earlier than the previous season. It seems that this year the citrus season has started well in Turkey while the second half of last season was very problematic for lemons. 

Lamas lemons variety is grown mainly in the southeast of Turkey and is the bulk of exports of Turkish lemons , mainly on the Russian market. Oranges will also focus on the Russian market but Turkish exporters are trying to diversify their markets , mainly in Asia and the Middle East.
