GLOBALG.A.P. announces critical updates and plans for 2024

Responding to feedback from its stakeholders, GLOBALG.A.P.  is excited to share two key decisions made in November to ensure a smooth transition to IFA v6 and its add-ons.

Firstly, recognizing that the process of Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) version 6 GFS recognition and the transition period will extend into the first half of 2024, GLOBALG.A.P.  decided to extend the applicability of the latest GLOBALG.A.P. Risk Assessment on Social Practice (GRASP) version 2 add-on. This means GRASP v2 can now be used with IFA v5.4-1-GFS (as well as IFA v6 Smart) until IFA v6 GFS becomes obligatory.

Starting January 1, 2024, GRASP v2 will be mandatory, replacing v1.3-1-i. It will be available for implementation with both IFA v5.4-1-GFS and IFA v6 Smart/GFS. This ensures that stakeholders can enjoy the benefits of the upgraded GRASP version without any delays, regardless of their chosen IFA edition.

Secondly, GLOBALG.A.P. wants to make the transition smooth for its producers. Therefore, producer fees will remain unchanged during this transitional period. The fees for IFA v5.2 and GRASP v1.3 will apply to IFA v6 and GRASP v2 until a revised fee structure is implemented, taking into account valuable stakeholder feedback. The published fee tables will be updated accordingly.
