Rising open field production

According to VIFL, the open field vegetable production would have increased by 6% in the Netherlands compared with last season. It has reached 1 181 000 tons in 2002/2003 against 1 113 000 tons in 2001/2002. This rise would be due to the expansion of agricultural surfaces, which would be up 2% this year.
