Wal-Mart and its Indian strategy

Wal-Mart, the US distributor, is looking for Indian partners to consolidate its position on the market. In the coming months, the group is to open a subsidiary, Wal-Mart Global Procurement Company, in Bengalore. This subsidiary will export goods for a minimum of USD 100 million a year and will replace the Pacific Resources Export Ltd, based in Hong Kong for Wal-Mart' s supplying. The US group wants to make India its export and supplying centre for all Asia.
