Regional hothouse complex opened

According to representatives of press-cutting service of administration of the Eastern-Kazakhstan region, new regional hothouse complex was opened in the territory of the region.

 

In the context of the plan on stable supply of fruit and vegetable produce for 2008-2009, a program of hothouse complex development for 2008-2010 was settled. Building of hothouses with gidroponic system (drip irrigation and groundless growing according to the European standard) is provided according to this program.

 

The first crop is expected to be harvested in the middle of February. The planned volume of tomato production during the period March-November 2009 totals 2000 tonnes. This volume satisfies nearly 80 % of population needs in this vegetable. Gradually, the range of growing produce will be widened.
