Expected decrease in Chilean blueberry exports

The export of Chilean blueberries in the current season would reach 76,500 tons, according to data from the Chilean Blueberry Fruit Committee.

 

This revision reflects a 7% decrease compared to the first estimate made last October, as well as a 13% reduction compared to the previous season.

 

The reassessment takes into account the impact of rain in early November, as well as other weather events such as frost and hail. In addition, the second estimate also considers the effect of the rains that occurred on November 9, 10 and 11.

 

To date, fresh blueberry exports have seen 18% growth compared to the same lapse in the last season.
