Azerbaijan supplies to the Russian market more than 7% of its tomatoes

In H1 2016 agricultural exports recorded growth of 27.5% (+ 13.1% fruits and + 33.1% vegetables).
In announcing the performance, Heydar Asadov, Minister of Agriculture said that now about 7.4% of tomatoes sold on the Russian market are from Azerbaijan. Last year the rate was only 1%, which proves the dynamism of exports.
Azerbaijan wants to continue to increase its agricultural exports, in addition to its traditional exports (rice, barley, millet), amplifying its range of products and diversifying its range of Fruits and Vegetables. In addition to Russia, the country increased its shipments to Iran, UAE, Turkey, Iraq and Turkmenistan.
